After a little while, this was boring... so I jumped on the leather couch. I am not supposed to go on the leather couch, but I got in a little nap before anyone noticed.
Once I was discovered, I had to get down... I camped out by the front door again, hoping for the rain to stop. Stupid rain.
Yeah, this stupid rain is really cutting into my rabbit hunting. And my laying by the pool time.

Ahh the couch thing. Have you read "Maggie's way"? (Its about a Basset).
Our dogs have now trained us to let them on the couch and peace reigns (or was that rains?)

Kerrio & co
Rain. What's that?
Just sun all the time here. But my terrace is cool and shady so I can lie out and do thing much.

Pippa
I meant nothing - my paws are rubbish at the mo'
Kerrio... they let me on some of the couches, but not the leather one, which causes me great confusion. I've not read that book, but if it is about a Basset it must be good.
Pippa... rain is this stupid wet stuff that falls from the sky and makes everything wet and muddy. For 2 years it barely rained here, and now it is raining daily. I want to live where you do.
Baron Von Woofer has to be the most beautiful bassett ever!
Don't worry little guy - I'm sure it will stop raining soon!
Hi Mac
Thanks for dropping by my blog. You are right, the parents were rather mean.
I am sad to read that your big brother went to the big doggie heaven. I am sure he will ok there. I had a big sister that went to doggie heaven too but I never met her. It would have been nice to have a sister but I have a pesky brother!!
The Mighty Scruff
Thanks Scruffy... my brother was the best. I think he taught me how to be a good woofer, but I forget sometimes... but that is part of the fun of being a Basset.
Have your people attempted the lame method of getting you off the furniture by covering it with stuff?
Hey peeps, it does not work!
The reason they don't want you up there is that it is hard on your tiny basset back.
Wait a few months and then jump to your hearts content.
Smooches and stay dry,
Ernest
